Pamela Meyer’s Story

I hadn’t been feeling right for a while, but one evening I became so disoriented and confused that my husband took me to the emergency room. I was diagnosed with a brain abscess. After three weeks at University Hospital and two surgeries to drain the abscess, doctor’s questioned if I would survive.

I was completely paralyzed on my right side and couldn’t talk. I was discharged to Drake. Everyone was amazed at how fast I was recovering, but I said it was because of the therapists and nurses. They were all very good to be. Today, I’m home enjoying life with my husband, family and friends.
