Drake researchers and physical therapists gained national notoriety with an article published in the May 2009 “Physical Therapy: The Journal of the American Physical Therapy Assn.” entitled “Neuroprosthesis Peroneal Functional Electrical Stimulation in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Setting: A Case Series.” It was coauthored by Kari Dunning, P.T., Ph.D., Director of Research at Drake Center, along with therapists and researchers, Kristy Black, Andrea Harrison, Keith McBride and Susan Israel. The article was a result of a career ladder project idea from Drake physical therapists, Kristy Black and Andrea Harrison. Click here to read the abstract.
